Between May 16 and 17, 2023, a devastating flood hit the Romagna region, submerging it under 250 million cubic meters of water, with 23 rivers overflowing and thousands of landslides. The film Tropical Romagna explores this disaster and its aftermath through the voices of residents, activists, and writers such as Wu Ming. It denounces institutional responsibilities and critiques the development model that rendered the territory so vulnerable—calling for a radical environmental rethinking in our time.
